Gene C. Knutson, D.P.M.
Dr. Knutson started practicing at Pacific Podiatry in 1993. He was born and raised in Bellingham, WA. He received his undergraduate degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Washington in Seattle. He attended podiatry school at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, CA. He then completed a podiatric surgical residency at the VA hospital in Palo Alto, CA and Stanford University. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Knutson is an avid sports fan and closely follows all the local sports teams, especially the UW Huskies. He enjoys running, hiking and golfing. He loves spending time with his wife and two children,particularly when it involves travel.
Dr. Knutson currently sees patients at our Tacoma, Spanaway and Gig Harbor locations.
Nicholas S. Heath, D.P.M.
Dr. Heath began practicing with Pacific Podiatry in 1998. He was born and raised in eastern Washington. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Washington State University. Following that, he completed his medical degree in Podiatry from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. After graduation, he returned to the Pacific Northwest to pursue a residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Puget Sound Hospital in Tacoma, WA. Dr. Heath has a special interest in difficult ankle injuries and reconstructive procedures. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Heath is also a huge sports fan, with his favorite team being his beloved WSU Cougars. He enjoys many outdoor activities, including boating and golfing, in addition to spending time and traveling with his wife and three children.

Rebecca E. Brickman, D.P.M.
Dr. Brickman was born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in Puyallup, WA. She graduated from the University of Washington, receiving her degree in Sociology. She completed her medical studies in Podiatry at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. After finishing there, she went on to complete a three year residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. Dr. Brickman has been in private practice since 2005. She spent eight years in New York and Connecticut, before returning to the Pacific Northwest in 2015 and joining the Pacific Podiatry Group. Dr. Brickman is board certified by the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry. She is happy to be back home and enjoys spending her free time with her husband and three children.

Kaitlyn L. Ward, D.P.M.
Pacific Podiatry Group is excited to announce that Kaitlyn L. Ward, DPM is joining our practice! Dr. Ward grew up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she double majored in biology and Spanish. From there, she obtained her medical degree from Des Moines University-College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. She is a recent graduate our local CHI Franciscan Foot and Ankle Institute, where she trained in forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction, sports medicine, limb salvage, trauma and total ankle replacement. She completed a fellowship in Kurgan, Russia, where she received intensive instruction in the treatment of segmental bone defects and osteomyelitis at the Ilizarov Scientific Center for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopedics. She has also completed a Microsurgical Limb Reconstruction and Deformity Correction Preceptorship in Chicago, IL and has a special interest in orthoplastic techniques for the treatment of complicated non-healing wounds. She is board qualified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. When she is not working, Dr. Ward enjoys running, hiking, skiing and spending time with her husband, Abe, and golden retriever, Lucy. She is greatly looking forward to serving our community and will be seeing patients at our Puyallup, Spanaway and Tacoma locations
