Gene C. Knutson, D.P.M.
Dr. Knutson started practicing at Pacific Podiatry in 1993. He was born and raised in Bellingham, WA. He received his undergraduate degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Washington in Seattle. He attended podiatry school at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, CA. He then completed a podiatric surgical residency at the VA hospital in Palo Alto, CA and Stanford University. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Knutson is an avid sports fan and closely follows all the local sports teams, especially the UW Huskies. He enjoys running, hiking and golfing. He loves spending time with his wife and two children, particularly when it involves travel.
Dr. Knutson currently sees patients at our Tacoma and Gig Harbor locations.
Nicholas S. Heath, D.P.M.
Dr. Heath began practicing with Pacific Podiatry in 1998. He was born and raised in eastern Washington. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Washington State University. Following that, he completed his medical degree in Podiatry from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. After graduation, he returned to the Pacific Northwest to pursue a residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Puget Sound Hospital in Tacoma, WA. Dr. Heath has a special interest in difficult ankle injuries and reconstructive procedures. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Heath is also a huge sports fan, with his favorite team being his beloved WSU Cougars. He enjoys many outdoor activities, including boating and golfing, in addition to spending time and traveling with his wife and three children.

Rebecca E. Brickman, D.P.M.
Dr. Brickman was born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in Puyallup, WA. She graduated from the University of Washington, receiving her degree in Sociology. She completed her medical studies in Podiatry at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. After finishing there, she went on to complete a three-year residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. Dr. Brickman has been in private practice since 2005. She spent eight years in New York and Connecticut, before returning to the Pacific Northwest in 2015 and joining the Pacific Podiatry Group. Dr. Brickman is board certified by the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry. She is happy to be back home and enjoys spending her free time with her husband and their seven children.

Dr. Kyle Piner, D.P.M.
Dr. Kyle Piner was born in Raleigh, NC and raised in Pensacola, FL. He attended Mississippi State University, where he majored in Chemistry. After graduating in 2013, he attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where he obtained his doctor of podiatric medicine degree in 2018. He then went on to complete a three year residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle certification at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY. Dr. Piner is Board Qualified with the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is trained in Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy.
Dr. Piner and his wife, a Louisiana native, are new to the area, having relocated here in July. They are excited to be here and are ready to explore everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer. During football season, you’ll find Dr. Piner rooting for his Mississippi State Bulldogs. In the rest of his spare time, he enjoys investigating local landmarks, restaurants, and vineyards, as well as spending time with friends and family.
